| Volunteer with Us
Volunteering on the work site is a fun, hands-on opportunity for individuals and groups to build homes alongside future Habitat homeowners. No experience required! Construction volunteers do carpentry, roofing, siding, interior trim, painting, and landscaping.
New volunteers receive coaching from more experienced volunteers and from staff.
You must call to sign up and fill out a short form. We can only take a certain number of volunteers every Saturday. So be patient if you have to wait a week or two to come and join us.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. We do have Saturdays when we do landscaping and then the age restriction is 16 and up.
Skilled workers and handy volunteers are always in demand on the work-site. Willing workers can be taught construction tasks for the day. Volunteers are expected to follow all expectations of dress, no shorts, no open toed shoes, no jewelry. Volunteers should be prepared to bring common tools to the site and to pack a lunch and water. Volunteers are committing for a full workday: Saturdays from 8 AM to 3 PM. Weekdays: Tuesday through Friday 8 AM to 3 PM by arrangement.
